@markmsmith This PR was merged in the 1.4 branch as you can see at
https://github.com/apache/spark/commit/141eab71ee3aa05da899ecfc6bae40b3798a4665
Our Github integration however is not clever enough to close the PR
automatically when its merged in a branch that is not the master branch.
