Thanks @cloud-fan and @dongjoon-hyun. Addressed in 0c7a0322258: replaced the broad Try with an explicit check, added matching invalid-partition diagnostics for text and JSON, and expanded coverage to plain, extended, and JSON DESCRIBE output. The test stays in the in-memory V1 suite because the Hive create path rejects the malformed CatalogTable; the PR description now also lists the strict partition commands left out of scope. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
