Following up on my comment above: I've opened [#58999](https://github.com/anshulbaliga7/spark/issues/58999) for SPARK-58209, narrowed per @peter-toth's review here to the `CallMethodViaReflection` change only, with a comment naming the protected buffer and a two-thread test that fails without the flag (m20 did not equal m10) and passes with it. @huanghanyu-vungle thanks for the initial work; the new PR credits this one.
