dongjoon-hyun opened a new pull request, #890:
URL: https://github.com/apache/spark-kubernetes-operator/pull/890

   ### What changes were proposed in this pull request?

This PR aims to respect the user-specified `terminationGracePeriodSeconds`
of `SparkCluster` pods. The operator sets `0` only when the pod template of
`spec.masterSpec.statefulSetSpec` or `spec.workerSpec.statefulSetSpec` doesn't
specify it.

   ### Why are the changes needed?

SPARK-49328 set `terminationGracePeriodSeconds` to `0` for master and worker
pods in order to delete `SparkCluster` faster without waiting for the
Kubernetes default (30s). The intention was a different default value, but the
current code overwrites the user-specified value unconditionally.

   ### Does this PR introduce _any_ user-facing change?

Yes. The user-specified `terminationGracePeriodSeconds` in the
`SparkCluster` pod templates is respected now. The default value is still `0`,
so there is no behavior change for users who don't specify it.

   ### How was this patch tested?

Pass the CIs with the newly added test cases.

   ### Was this patch authored or co-authored using generative AI tooling?

   Generated-by: Claude Opus 5.5
