Any updates on this @vanzin @srowen? I took another quick look myself and
found it kind of weird that we're passing strings as ports everywhere. What was
the original motivation for doing this again? Revisiting the discussion about
`maxRetryPorts`, is it worth having essentially different retry ports for each
port? Personally I'm not super sold on this feature unless there's a compelling
use case for it.
