@rxin is it worth to check if `string`is empty? Because of the comment that
`toString` is slow, see
https://github.com/davies/spark/blob/unsafe_string/unsafe/src/main/java/org/apache/spark/unsafe/types/UTF8String.java#L192.
This would even avoid to create the `Soundex`object.
