Good catch @JuhongPark; we should respect the common configuration options
that boto supports for credentials.
I wonder though if there is a cleaner way to catch these various ways of
checking credential availability using some facility that boto provides itself.
Have you looked into that? Otherwise, I think the approach you took is good.
