Thanks for the PR! I started writing up comments yesterday but then wanted
to take time to look around at other libraries' practices + think more about
the design. I'm finishing up a little doc which I'll post here soon.
However, could you please separate out the changes which make the tree
models extend ClassificationModel, and send those as another PR for that JIRA?
