Things to change for the next iteration.
- Revert block generate tests, and changes to ReceiverTracker (see inline
threads for explanation)
- Revert Receiver class and modify DummyReceiver in ReceiverTrackerSuite to
access the `executor` field using Java reflection (again, see other inline
thread for discussion)
