    I'm not sure `CoarseGrainedSchedulerBackend::stop()` needs to call 
`stopExecutors()` (they'll die or be killed by the cluster manager), which is 
the underlying reason for the exception... but I guess this is safer. Not 
pretty, but safer.
    
    I'd write a more descriptive description (referring to a mailing list 
e-mail is not very helpful), but other than that, LGTM.
