The changes look fine, but I'm still skeptical how much of a difference it
makes in practice. All of this data inherently takes some space on the driver,
and we have tested this with a long-running application and verified that the
memory usage is stable over time (could be up to 200 - 300 MB). I think the OOM
is just a consequence of the low driver heap size, which used to be 512MB but
later increased to 1G by default.
