In hive, the following sample code works fine:-
```
set hive.metastore.warehouse.dir=/test/warehouse
create table test1 as select * from source_table; -- data gets saved in
/test/warehouse
select * from test1;
```
So it is possible to override the location where data is stored at the SQL
level itself. Good to know that there is a write option to set that.
