I am not sure if I understand what should be removed. Do you want me to
remove the entire astype function that was added? Also where should I use the
self.cast(dataType)? If its within astype definition, then the whole point to
demonstrate the usage of astype is lost. Am I missing something here? I am
sorry if this is something trivial and I am not seeing it.
