I think changing alpha to `0.3` is a little hacky here. The result should
be the same no matter which algorithm we use, subject to some numerical
differences. Could you double check the output from each algorithm? Btw, a
proper way to test this is to have a string param called "solver" that defaults
to "auto" but could be set explicitly to "l-bfgs" or "normal". @dbtsai
