I implemented the suggestion but I'm not a big fan of it. Mainly, it turns
out it didn't really save a lot of code, at the cost of making the semantics of
`ExecutorLossReason` more confusing. I prefer the explicit "I'm not removing
the executor, just disabling it" approach I had before.
