By adding a sleep after 'local metrics' finishes, I captured the following
using ps command:
```
USER PID %CPU %MEM VSZ RSS TTY STAT
hbase 7428 100 0.5 14398196 754200 pts/0 Sl+ 14:52
hbase 19802 80.2 3.0 15092068 3970960 pts/0 Sl+ 14:56
```
The second line was for 16 slices, the third for 64 slices.
Note the difference in RSS
I also took jmap's but couldn't get much out of that
