@gliptak I reverted the change because
https://github.com/apache/spark/commit/0ddba6d88ff093a96b4931f71bd0a599afbbca78
was merged before this one and it didn't use `self.sc`, which causes Jenkins
failures. Could you reopen this PR and update your patch?
