The goal here is to use Maven Central as the _only_ resolver in our builds
in order to make it impossible to depend on artifacts from other Maven / Ivy
repositories; this will prevent us from accidentally being bitten by depending
on artifacts from repos that could go offline or delete artifacts (this has
affected us in the past).
