The latest commit should pass tests. Note that I've ignored a test in
`CliSuite` because I have no idea why the future timed out even after
investigating for 30 minutes. It's an end-to-end test with almost no
intermediate output so it's would much longer to debug the root cause. If
that's the only failing test then I'd prefer to fix it after this patch gets
merged so we unblock progress on the DDL stuff.
