I'm thinking that maybe this:
```scala
// just to make sure some of the tasks take a noticeable amount of
time
val w = { i: Int =>
if (i == 0) {
Thread.sleep(100)
}
}
```
Is our issue.
So I want to try with the `Thread.sleep(100)` commented.
