@boneill42 Aha right. That indicates that updating the library actually
entailed some significant dependency changes. I don't know if that's OK to
back-port to 1.6, but it's already in master. Presumably master needs your
additional changes here to resolve your issue, and you could bump to 1.6.2
while you're at it.
