resources, except now you wouldn't be using them. So might as well keep using 
them for as long as you can, or give them back as soon as possible (i.e. as 
soon as the executor becomes idle).
    
    I agree. Doing a clean shutdown and release is probably what the schedulers 
prefer —especially if it starts up the pre-empting code faster
