@rxin @mubarak On one hand, I can understand wanting something faster or
providing greater ease of use not in an actor framework, if one finds that
paradigm a challenge. However, Spark and indeed the BlockManager itself already
uses Akka, it has the netty functionality/IO, not to mention thousands of users
around the world that use/test/create & fix bugs, which is a pretty good thing
to take advantage of as well.
