Github user felixcheung commented on the issue: https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/14639 but to keep in mind, currently even spark.master can change while in-flight - doesn't seem like Spark Scala code prevents that - we could get some very wrong values. I'm not sure that is super reliable for this case. ``` > sparkR.session(spark.master="food") Java ref type org.apache.spark.sql.SparkSession id 1 > sparkR.conf() ... $spark.master [1] "food" ... ``` (R example, ditto for Scala)
