@andrewor14 the scala code would have to generate the arguments properly
quoted/escaped for bash.
@sryza it's hard to not run two jvms if you want to support all the
possible ways of writing a properties file. It's just too hard to do in pure
bash (or with standard posix tools without resorting to python / perl).
