I looked at the generated byte code and this just calls a constructor
anyway. I don't know if this is worth doing, as it doesn't change the actual
compiled code. While I would not write `new` for a case class personally, it's
arguably clearer about what is happening. There might be corner cases where it
generates better byte code (value classes?) but I don't think this is one.
