For R, to make public this should be listed in the NAMESPACE file and the
generics.R. Also would be great to add a quick test for this in
R/pkg/inst/tests/testthat/test_sparkSQL.R.
I do think there might be a minor naming concern on this - there is already
an existing `names` function on DataFrame to return column names. This new
function `name` might be too similar to it?
