that wasn't the actual problem was it, just the logging? if the problem is that
it fires repeatedly, then a flag could be used to record that it has executed?
Sorry @srowen, I don't understand what you're asking here. However, I can
say that calling this method repeatedly is not the problem. The problem is
getting it to be called before Parquet starts logging.
