@ash211 let's close this issue for now. I think changing stuff like this
isn't worth doing unless there is a very large benefit over the status quo. The
reason is that it is somewhat of an API what the default logging behavior is,
people write scripts to parse the logs and get used to the default format etc.
I'm fine to add milliseconds to what is there now, personally I'd find that
very useful.
