Just so I understand, by the time we enter this code block we would have
already logged an OOM message, so it's confusing if we log more messages.
However, I think this might have unforeseen consequences because the executor
spends its last breath reporting its status and partial task metrics to the
driver, and now it might not do this anymore. I'm not so sure if this is safe
to do...
