The markup like `C{}`, `I{}`, etc. is [epydoc's inline
markup](http://epydoc.sourceforge.net/manual-epytext.html#basic-inline-markup).
In [Sphinx's inline markup](http://sphinx-doc.org/markup/inline.html), I think
you can just use backticks for denoting variables, etc.
