Think the latest test failures are somehow related to:

Exploring...
BTW, I'm using `sbt -Phadoop-2.3 -Phive -Pyarn -Pmesos -Phive-thriftserver
-Pkinesis-asl test` locally and the tests are still being executed (for the
past 40 mins or so) and green.
