Thanks @jkbradley and @zhengruifeng. Just sent an update to fix the
intercept update.
I further evaluated the implementation and found setting intercept to 0 for
initialization works better. That makes some sense as we can just regard
intercept as a part of coefficients and give the same initial value as other
coefficients.
