It seems that we already have that rule
[here](https://github.com/apache/spark/blob/master/sql/catalyst/src/main/scala/org/apache/spark/sql/catalyst/analysis/TypeCoercion.scala#L673-L674).
```scala
scala> sql("select round(null)").show
+------------------------------+
|round(CAST(NULL AS DOUBLE), 0)|
+------------------------------+
| null|
+------------------------------+
```
