I have not looked at the implementation in detail, but can you comment on
why the change w.r.t plain text block data to remote executor ? Isn't it not
simpler to transmit block contents in encrypted format without decryption ?
Remote fetch of RDD blocks is not uncommon (for any task other than
PROCESS_LOCAL); and I wanted to better understand why this is required.
