It might be a good idea to look at [the time
spent](https://github.com/apache/spark/blob/master/sql/catalyst/src/main/scala/org/apache/spark/sql/catalyst/rules/RuleExecutor.scala#L37)
before and after this change for all the unit tests in core / hive.
