Testing should not be too hard. Here's my *untested* attempt
```scala
val sconf = new SparkConf(false)
sconf.set("fs.example.value", "true")
val conf = new Configuration(false)
new SparkHadoopUtil().appendS3AndSparkHadoopConfigurations(sconf, conf)
assert( conf.getBoolean("fs.example.value", false))
```
