@mccheah Before asking a user to rewrite the full `spark-submit`, I still
believe we can propose a middle ground that would make people with specific
requirements happy. You could also answer that the specifics could/should be
written in the custom docker images, but I still can imagine cases where custom
steps would be a nicer and more elegant approach.
I wonder if anyone else sees interest in such functionality?
If this can not be taken in this PR, I will try to build on this when it is
merged to trigger interest.
