I have addressed all comments (there were a few I did not take action on,
just left a comment -- please respond) and added pretty comprehensive unit
tests to the network/shuffle package. I still need to add a Spark integration
test that will catch changes to how spark stores its files.
@pwendell If possible, please verify my changes to the build structure of
network/shuffle as well. I tried to emulate your changes to network/common.
