@shaneknapp this problem does not occur on Docker version 18.xxx which is
running on my local setup. The error is distinctively the:

Please provide a source image with `from` prior to commit
â so this seems to be a versioning issue. If you could upgrade to 18.xx
that should remove this blocker.
