For clarification, I think we could but if there was no explicit objection
or concern. That's what I initially thought and I left my sign-off even though
I saw rough concerns (for example, it wouldn't work for Yarn's dynamic
allocation as far as I can tell), which now look roughly matched to some
concerns listed up here. That it's still difficult to remove out an API once
it's added.
