Btw, I feel this as egg and chicken problem. Once we open flexibility 3rd party can leverage on it. Once we close down the possibility, 3rd party will not even give a try. For example, Spark just opens possibility on leveraging dropwizard metrics, so there're many metrics sinks directly supported in Spark or they could be from 3rd party.
