So, it should really be conservative enough in terms of being intrusive ... I preserved previous proposal at another branch (https://github.com/apache/spark/compare/master...HyukjinKwon:SPARK-23674-2?expand=1), which adds events support for all implementations within ML. I can propose this in the future when we see some values on it.
