Filed [SPARK-4665](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-4665) and
[SPARK-4666](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-4666), noted the
former in the PR title, and put a note about both in the opening PR comment.
lmk if there's some other syntax for addressing two JIRAs that is warranted.
