srowen commented on issue #23437: [SPARK-26524] If the application directory fails to be created on the SPARK_WORKER_… URL: https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/23437#issuecomment-451963440 If I understand this correctly, you're adding new config and state to track if a worker can't start because its defined application directory can't be created. That seems like a fatal error, not something we need to handle. I don't think we should do this.
