This seems like a reasonable feature to add. I have a few suggestions:
- We use the title of the PR as the commit message, so please fix it so
that it doesn't truncate.
- Add test cases to `ParquetQuerySuite.scala` so that this feature does
not accidentally get broken in the future.
- Fix the scala doc of `parquetFile` so that it describes the new
functionality.
