I left a few comments. This seems like a reasonable set of changes, but I
think that we should also make them to SparkListenerBus, too. Maybe there's an
opportunity to refactor the listener busses to share more code; this might be a
more involved change, though, and could happen in a separate PR (also, maybe
there's a good reason why they don't share a common trait).
