I get that they will probably fail without the broadcast, but, it's also possible they won't. @srowen then in this case how do we justify to the end user who will see that his query has failed (due to timeout) but his resource are still being occupied by the failed query (which may or may not eventually complete). I think killing such orphaned tasks justifies the case
