ajithme edited a comment on issue #24056: [SPARK-26152] Synchronize Worker Cleanup with Worker Shutdown URL: https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/24056#issuecomment-471579398 the lock makes sure that during submission of tasks (multiple tasks are submitted as part of the loop), the executorpool is not shutdown (even though on shutdown, tasks may be interrupted and end up not cleaning).. if i remove the lock, the submission exception may still reoccurr right.?
