Review comment:
When I see "getPartitionOffsetsByA" and "getPartitionOffsetsByB", I normally
expect those to be two independent strategies A and B for getting the final
offsets. If they have to be chained together in some specific order, I don't
think these are appropriate method names; they should be renamed or inlined.
